Kali is a pretty tortie lady who is the new 'Manager's Office' cat! Kali helps with all important admin duties and is particularly good at typing. Kali has diabetes and requires twice daily injections of insulin to keep her condition under control. She doesn't particularly like being injected but the staff always make it up to her by giving her some nice food.

Sally

Sally is a pretty girl who had a rough start to life. She had lived in five different homes before coming to Assisi. Sally has epilepsy and diabetes lucipitus, which means she drinks frequently, both these conditions require daily medication. Sally lives in a foster home where she is treated like a lady. Rango

Rango arrived in April 2011 suffering badly with mange. Nearly all his hair had fallen out and his skin was raw from scratching so much. Rango required extensive treatment to treat the mange, unfortunately only some of his hair has grown back. Rango now lives in a foster home where he is spoiled rotten! His new mum knits him cosy sweaters so that he stays nice and warm. He has quite an array of sweaters and coats! Rango still visits the vet regularly…

Thatch is a handsome 7 year old terrier who has been with us for a couple of years. Thatch can be selective about who he makes friends with and is not very keen on other dogs. Casey

Casey first arrived at Assisi in May 2010 and after a brief spell in a home she was returned in September 2011 suffering with a skin condition. Unfortunately after a scan of her abdomen multiple tumours were found on her liver. She was given a guarded prognosis but is currently doing well and sees the vet regularly for check-ups. Casey lives in a lovely foster home where she is thoroughly spoilt.

Flick

Flick is only 3 years old but had such a bad start in life it has left him very un-trusting of humans. The staff here have been working hard with Flick over the past year and have helped him make friends with a few selective volunteers. One very kind volunteer takes Flick home for short breaks away from the Sanctuary, he enjoys these breaks and is much more settled when he returns.

Ozzy

Ozzy only arrived here in January 2013. He came in with 9 of his children, he had been a busy boy! Ozzy and his children were all unwell with either dental problems or chest infections. Ozzy has lasting damage to his lungs and requires regular courses of antibiotics to keep his chest infections under control. Ozzy also has dental problems and requires occasional operations to correct his teeth. This is very risky as he has such scarred lungs, but…

Isn't he a handsome bunny? Joey is a real character and is definitely the clown of the section. Prior to arriving at Assisi Joey had to have his incisors removed as they were growing in totally the wrong direction! He is now a 'gummy bear' and has to have all his food chopped up very small, he copes very well and loves treats! Joey had has trouble with his kidneys in the past after an E.Cuniculi infection.
