I suffer from asthma and the staff at Assisi looked after me extremely well, giving me my inhaler twice a day.  I love playing but sometimes I have to stay indoors because of my asthma. The staff found me a lovely foster home where I can play and my foster carers don’t mind giving me my inhaler.

Misty

Misty is an extremely lovable 12 year old female.  She came to live at Assisi in April 2011 because her owner could no longer care for her.  Misty was diagnosed with secondary tumours a few weeks later and further tests showed that the cancer had originated on her Liver.  Treatment was not an option so with a guarded prognosis we decided to make her as comfortable as possible for the time she had left, thought to be as little as a few months but…

Jake

Jake is a very handsome 6 year old mini sheltie. Jake arrived at Assisi in October 2010 and was in very poor condition. He was suffering from untreated diabetes and was almost blind and severely underweight. I received veterinary treatment and was nursed back to health by the staff. Once I was back to health I found a lovely foster home where I am very happy. I was very lucky, and the sponsorship money will help pay for my diabetes medical care.
