This very handsome young fella is Toby. He’s 3 years old and super affectionate. Toby has been brought up as a housecat and has never been outside so would have to be rehomed as a house cat only. He would be best suited to a home with no other animals. Please call up and meet him if you’re interested in re homing him.

Crabtree and Evelyn Fundraising Evening

We are holding an exclusive Assisi Fundraising Shopping Evening at Crabtree and Evelyn on Wednesday 26 June between 6pm and 9pm. Tickets are £10 which include Drinks and Nibbles, Mini hand treatments and demonstrations and a free gift (worth £9). 15% of sales on the night will be donated to Assisi.

Crabtree & Evelyn is in Arthur Square, at the top of Ann Street in Belfast.

You can purchase your ticket at the sanctuary or from the Assisi shop in Newtownards.

Walkies Along the Coast – Crawfordsburn Country Park

Put your best paw forward on Saturday 22 June and join the staff of AXA Direct for ‘Walkies’ along the coast.

The staff have organised a sponsored walk for Assisi and they are meeting in the Car Park at Crawfordsburn Country Park at 10.45am with the walk starting at 11am. After a gentle stroll along the coast they will return to the park for tea and cake.

So, if you are a dog owner or someone who walks their dog on Saturday in Crawfordsburn Park, why not join the staff of AXA Direct, Bangor. You can get a sponsorship form from AXA in Bangor, from the Assisi Reception at the Sanctuary or on the day of the walk.

All funds raised will be donated to Assisi.

Guinness

Guinness is a 10 month old pup who is friendly, playful, boisterous and can be a bit cheeky. He needs a family who will work on his basic manners, especially lead walking. He could be rehomed to a home with children, as long as they are 15+.

Dolly

Dolly has been reserved.

Dolly is a 2 year old Cockapoo. Dolly needs to be rehomed with experienced dog owners who are at home most of the day. She gets on well with other dogs, but doesn’t like cats. We are looking for a home where she is the only dog, as she needs lots of 1-1 attention. Dolly is good with older children.

Alfie

Alfie is an 8 month old Jack Russel X. He’s still being assessed, but he is a lovely friendly, energetic pup. He needs work on basic manners as he can be boisterous.

Dasher is a 2 year old male Collie X. He’s very friendly, affectionate playful and obedient. He would be best suited to an active family, and is good with young children and other dogs.

Bane

Bane is a 1 1/2 year old Collie cross. He is a good all round dog and walks immaculately on the lead. Why not call up to the sanctuary to see this boy!

Pippin – rehomed from Assisi in 1998

I’ve attahed a wee pic of Pippin, who we collected from Assisi in December 1998, on the same day Julian Simmons opened your new facilities. She was about 6 months old when we collected her, which makes her about 14.5 years old!!

She is still very spritely and has has been a loyal, loving and affectionate pet for all of that time. Pippin likes to sleep a lot, and eat a lot, and still enjoys a good run on the beach sniffing out creepie crawlies!!
