Collection boxes are a fantastic way to raise funds and support Assisi. Could you spare some time to deliver Assisi Collection Boxes to shops and offices in your area and then collect them on a regular basis. Or you could have a collection box in your home and collect your loose change for Assisi.
For more details, contact The Sanctuary on 028 9181 2622 or contact us online.
Important
So that your collection goes smoothly, let us know about your event, so that we are aware of what you are doing. You must be over 18 to carry out a collection.

Hi,
I will be running the Belfast Marathon in May 2013 and I was thinking of running for Assisi. Would there be any running packs or sponsership forms that I would be able to recieve?
Tim. We would be delighted if you supported Assisi. We have a sponsorship pack which has sponsorship forms and a t-shirt in it and we also have a poster that you can write you name on and put up in your office etc although it will not be available to probably after Christmas. If you decide to support us, drop a note to – info@assisi-ni.org stating what size of t-shirt you require and they will send the pack out to you.
Hiya I am doing a sponsored leg waxing with my friends andrew and matthew, due to the event it would be really helpful if a collection box could be sent out? Thank you.
Sara-Louise. If you ring the sanctuary on 028 9181 2622 they will take your details and get one posted to you or if you are in the vicinity you can pick it up from Reception.
Hi,
We are hoping to have a birthday party for our dog and instead of presents, ask people to make a donation to charity. We’re hoping to offer the option of putting money in a collection box or donating items such as towels/blankets. Would this be helpful for your work?
Kierinda. That’s sounds a great idea. We are currently running an appeal for dog food as we desperately short of dog food at the moment so if your guests would like to bring a tin of dog food, packet of dry food, packet of dog treats that would be great. We can always use towels/blankets. We also have a chairty shop in Newtownards and they are always looking for donations of ladies, gents and children’s clothes and shoes. Also household items, jewellery, children’s toys and furniture. All the proceeds of the shop go towards supporting the sanctuary. Hope that gives you some ideas. Thank you for thinking of Assisi.
That’s great thanks 🙂 Have made a note of that and will inform friends. Would it also be possible for us to get a collection box from you? We’ll be in Ards tomorrow getting Winston groomed and could pick one up if that suits? Thanks, K 🙂
Kierinda. Sorry only say your post now. You can pick up a collection box from the Reception in the Sanctuary.
Could you please let me have your address, so I can forward on these stamps I have been collecting awhile now, and I have just come across your place and want them to go there to help with the care of poor pets that have been abandoned, which is dreadful, and I pray that pets bought this Christmas that they become life long family members which is only but right in the sight of our God and should be the way we treat them anyway.
They depend on humans to look after them, they cant look after themselves.
Thanking you
Maureen.
Its fine, Ive just noticed your address at the bottom of this page, so i’ve put them into an envelope and will endeavor to post them to you tomorrow, God willing it.
Maureen.
Hi,
I am doing the 5k a day for 25 days challenge and i would like to give my donations to assisi, could i get a box?
Terri. Thank you for doing that for Assisi. Do you live in the vicinity of the sanctuary and could call to collect the box as they are awkward to post. Let me know and I will get one left for you. You could also go on our facebook page and post a photo of yourself and what you are doing and you may get some more donations.
Hi I am part of a committee for Newcastle and district riding club , we are holding our spring show on 25th May and many more during the year. I would like to receive a collection box for these big events. I also want to help, as you and dogs trust return my beloved pet Cappy (as u know him as scamp) last year. Thanks
Leanne. I could leave the collection box at our Charity Shop in Ballynahinch for you to collect. If you would like to email me at – elaine@assisi-ni.org we can co-ordinate when would suit you to pick it up.
I live near Ballynahinch
Could offer a few hours volunteering in the Ballynahinch Shop if needed
Donna. Call into the shop and pick up a volunteer form and have a chat with the staff.
I would be able to facilitate drop off and collection of boxes also in that area or crossbar, but you maybe already have one person for that
Donna. Could you send an email to elaine@assisi-ni.org and let her know what area you would be able to cover and she will explain how to get started. Thanks
Hello, I do realize that you have to be 18 or over to start a collection, I am 14 and I was thinking of maybe starting a campaign in my school to help get donations. We got our dog Rex (Black and white border collie-labrador mix) from Assisi a few years ago and I would love to help more pets like him in need of a home, and I was wondering if it was possible to do the collection in any way despite my age?
Thanks!
Hi Abaigeal, That’s fantastic. Age doesn’t matter as long as you have permission from your parents and your school. If we can help you in any way please let us know and Good Luck 🙂
Hi, my daughter Poppy really wants to do something to raise money and would like to do a sponsored walk from Donaghadee to Bangor dressed as a cat. She is 9. Are there sponsorship forms to use for this sort of activity and anything else we might need?
Juliet. Please thank your daughter for thinking of Assisi. That’s very kind of her. If you call to reception at the sanctuary they will provide you with a sponsorship form(s). You can also book with them for the day of the walk an Assisi vest and collection bucket if you want to use them on the day. These can be picked up the day or a few days before the event. I am sure you will also be walking with her and if you wish you could post something on the Assisi facebook page before the event and on the day.
Would you be able to use a teaset/dinner set and a number of household items to sell in your shop? All new or in excellent condition.
Regards
Karis. Absolutely. We would love these items. Can you leave them into either the Bangor or Newtownards shop?
Hi
Could I please get a collection box for my reception?
I am also going to sell some second hand books and ask clients to make a donation to Assisi for them.
Kind Regards
