A Big Spotty Thank You from all at Assisi

Thank you to everyone who came to the 101 Dalmatian Walk in Bangor on Saturday and entered into the fun of the day by dressing up and getting their faces painted.   With your support we raised £3,690 on the day.

We were raising funds for the Assisi Chance of a Lifetime Programme which rescues dogs which are due to be “put to sleep” in local council pounds and transport them to England and Scotland for rehoming.  Each trip costs £400 so your efforts have
raised enough funds for 9 Chance of a Lifetime trips which will save the lives of 180 dogs.   Well done to all of you.

An event such as this doesn’t just happen and there a few people to thank:

  • all the face painters who worked quickly and expertly to get all the faces painted ready for the start of the walk.   Their work was fantastic.
  • Special thanks to Kenneth Sharp from The Salty Dog in Bangor who was Chef for the day.  The BBQ was very well received by all the walkers who made straight for it after their walk around the town.
  • DJ Tommy who kept everyone entertained
  • Tony our photographer who took some great photos of everyone.  You can see the photos further down our page
  • all the Assisi volunteers who worked  before the event and on the day to make it a success.

The day would not have been such a success without Cruella – wasn’t she great.  Her name is Sinead and her day job is looking after the animals at the sanctuary.

Thank you to everyone who made the day such a success.   We at Assisi could not do the work we do without your continued support.
