This is an appeal for unwanted rabbit hutches and runs. They must be in good condition and of a good size.

Assisi may have to find homes for a large number (approx 100) of small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils and hamsters. We desperately need hutches and runs for our foster homes so that they can take as many as possible.

If you feel you could help us by becoming a foster home this is what we currently require:

• Suitable accommodation for a single rabbit or a pair. This can be a hutch and run/ hutch and free range garden combo, or a spare rabbit proof room in the house.
• Suitable accommodation for pairs or groups of guinea pigs, either as a hutch and run combo or condo living in the home.
• Suitable cages for hamsters or gerbils. Gerbils require special cages known as gerbilariums, this allows them to burrow.
• Experience and knowledge of the animals you are taking on and an understanding of basic health problems.
• Lots of love, time and patience!!
