Urgent Foster appeal - Beatrice

*** Urgent Fostering Appeal***

We are urgently seeking a short-term foster home for this beautiful girl!

Beatrice has arrived in to the Sanctuary very heavily pregnant and she is due to give birth any day now.
Beatrice is a Bulldog, and as her breed can find birthing quite challenging, we have been advised by our vets to find a home for her to safely have her pups in. The length of fostering time should not be any longer than 8 weeks and may be less than this.

Due to her specific needs, we have some particular requirements for fostering Beatrice:

You must have a quiet, safe area for Beatrice to have her pups in (preferably a spare room) and allow an Assisi home visitor to see the room beforehand.

You must live locally to the Bangor area, have your own transport and be willing to take her & her pups to the designated vet as and when necessary. (This will be Glenn Vets in Bangor)

You must have experience of working with a pregnant dog and have an understanding of the needs of a pregnant / nursing mother and pups.

Preferably, you should have some hand-rearing experience, in case Beatrice needs a little extra help once her pups arrive.

You must be willing to allow a member of the Assisi team to arrange to visit and check on the mum and pups as and when they feel it necessary.
