Assisi Animal Sanctuary is Northern Ireland's largest independent animal welfare charity providing shelter for up to 200 companion animals - cats, dogs and rabbits.
Harper and Marley are a recent pairing and are getting on very well! Harper is approximately 4 years old and Marley is approximately 2 years old.
Harper has had problems with his hind legs and spine following an injury before Christmas. Consequently we think he has some arthritis so is still on medication to help with the pain. Despite this he is very happy and is thoroughly enjoying life!
Marley was found as a stray and was so badly matted he had to be totally shaved! His coat still proves to be a problem as he isn’t keen on being groomed unless he feels like it. Unfortunately Marley has problems with his upper respiratory tract, he is prone to getting infections which leaves him with bad sneezing fits. We are able to control it with antibiotic injections as and when he needs it.
Marley and Harper are looking for a home together. They will both be foster rabbits as they have ongoing medical conditions. They require an experienced home as there will be medications to give.
Vincent is the most recent addition to the group of boys! After losing his sister, Sasha, Vincent has been a little depressed and really needed a friend. As there were no prospective wifebun’s on the horizon it was decided that he could try and join Harper and Marley. Thankfully they took to him well and have welcomed him into their group.
Vincent also has health problems and requires occasional vet examinations and medication.
