Assisi Animal Sanctuary is Northern Ireland's largest independent animal welfare charity providing shelter for up to 200 companion animals - cats, dogs and rabbits.
Meet Kai, Sooty and Miskish who are real favourites with the staff.
Kai is a stunning 3 1/2 year old black lionhead/ rex crossbreed. He has gorgeous, slightly wirey rex fur with a lovely grey beard.
Kai is a cheeky character who loves human company. He is very inquisitive and will climb all over you for cuddles and kisses. Kai doesn’t know he is a rabbit, so can be a bit nippy if he doesn’t get his own way!
Kai had not been looked after very well prior to arriving at Assisi, he had been fed bird food as his main diet and had been allowed to eat human food such as crisps.
This unfortunately has caused a few problems with his digestive tract.
Miskish is a beautiful 3 1/2 year old spotted female. She was born here at Assisi in June ’09.
Miskish was re-homed but had to be returned as she constantly escaped from her house and fell out with the other rabbit. Miskish is a wonderful little bunny who is full of mischief but is so friendly! She is getting on really well with Kai.
Miskish is quite nervous of young children so would love to be re-homed along with Kai to an experienced home.
