Assisi Animal Sanctuary is Northern Ireland's largest independent animal welfare charity providing shelter for up to 200 companion animals - cats, dogs and rabbits.
Mabel and Tommy are a lovely pair of rabbits. Both have been vaccinated and neutered / spayed.
Mabel is approximately 6 years old and is grand old lady! She is very affectionate and loves to be cuddled and kissed. Like many older bunnies Mabel has a few health issues. She has a bad chest and regularly gets chest infections which leave her feeling quite unwell. We monitor closely and are now able to keep it under control with injections as and when she needs them. He illness doesn’t hold her back much though as she is definitely the boss!
Tommy is a handsome young chap who is only around 2 years old. Before arriving here at Assisi Tommy had been mistreated, he had been lifted by his ears on more than one occasion. As a result of this he can be a little head shy if he doesn’t know you. Once he gets to know you he is an incredibly affectionate and loving young rabbit.
Mabel and Tommy would be best suited to living a house bunnies in a safe, bunny proofed home. They would prefer there to be no young children as both of them are easily stressed and require a nice quiet life. Tommy does not like dogs and would not settle well into a home where there is a dog.
