Christopher and Sebastian are very bonded brothers and have been through a lot when they came to Assisi.
They also look very, very similar! The best way to tell them apart is that Sebastian’s face markings are more triangular, and Christopher’s are wider!
When they were coming into us, Christopher’s carrier broke and he was able to escape and spent 3 days free roaming before we were able to catch him.
We can only imagine how scared this poor boy was- not knowing where he was, and alone in the cold.
When we got Christopher back he was certainly stressed and had struggled however was still desperate for human attention.
Sebastian struggled without his brother and being alone in a new place after seeing his brother disappear- unsure if he would ever see him again.
This made him fearful of humans as he wasn’t sure what he was meant to do or how to react and unfortunately out of the fear and stress, became very defensive.
This got worse once he got his brother back, and he would hiss and swipe at staff.
He was so glad to get his brother back and decided to be his body guard and defend him so nothing bad would ever happen to him again!
After some time and a gentle touch we are making massive progress with Sebastian who is starting to appreciate human care again.
Christopher is his usual slinky self and can generally be found flirting and rolling around.
They both love to come out of their kennel and play, a feather wand being their favourite toy and Sebastian is close to becoming a cuddly boy again.
The pair love playing with one another just as much as the feather wand and can always be found close together.
They are desperate to get back outside, we think they miss chasing flies as when one appears in the cattery they are always first to spot and chase after the fly for the rest of the day!
Overall they are both lovely boys with so much potential once they are home and away from the place that reminds them of such a hard time (they had never been apart a day in they lives until then).
We would ask that they are in an adult only home and they would love to have outdoor access again.
They would need someone who has cat experience and is willing to give them the patience they need to show their true colours.
They will also need more than one visit so they can start to build a relationship/ trust.
