Gertie & Renfield

These boys have just been recently bonded here at the sanctuary! To the left is Gertie, and to the right is Renfield.

Gertie would be the more confident one, and he’s also a lot easier to handle than Renfield would be.

Once Gertie gets to know you, he really enjoys head rubs! The best way to bond with him would be with treats and vegetables!

Renfield on the other hand can be a bit of a drama queen.

He is a little more timid than Gertie.

But we feel like in a home environment, his confidence will shine!
Renfield has had to get one dental before due to his misaligned jaw.

It will be the case that Renfield will need a dental check from a vet every few months to ensure his back molars aren’t spurred.

Renfield has now went around 4 months without needing a dental! We think this is due to Gertie making him feel more confident, in turn making him eat more hay to grind his teeth down!.
