Rebel is around 10 years old. Although he is an older boy, he still loves his walks and playing with toys! He could live with another dog but no cats. He would be ideally suited to a home with older children and an owner who has lots of time to spend with him as he is an affectionate boy and loves being around people.
Meet Felix! Felix is a beautiful black bun with white markings. He is a neutered male bun at approximately 1 year old. Felix originally came in with his brother Jasper, however, as they were both entire males, they ended up arguing. Even though they have been neutered, and we attempted the start of the bonding process, they have made it clear they do not want to get along. Felix is now looking for a single spayed female for his new companion. He can be a little nervous initially, however, he is accepting of head rubs now, and will happily sit in your company! Felix enjoys getting out for a supervised run about to stretch his legs. If you feel you could offer Felix a forever home with a companion, please call up to the sanctuary, speak to the staff and fill out an application form!
Jasper is a white bun with speckled grey markings. He is a neutered male bun at approximately 1 year old. Jasper originally came in with his brother Felix, however, as they were both entire males, they ended up arguing. Even though they have been neutered, and we attempted the start of the bonding process, they have made it clear they do not want to get along. Jasper is now looking for a single spayed female for his new companion. He can be a little nervous initially, however, he loves to come out and investigate new things and new areas! Jasper would love a home with plenty of space for his investigating adventures! If you feel you could offer Jasper a forever home with a companion, please call up to the sanctuary, speak to the staff and fill out an application form!
Milo is a 2 and a half year old neutered male guinea pig. He is grey and white in colour with a few hints of cream! Milo is a very vocal boy, and is extremely nosey! He is the first to come out and investigate a new area, with absolutely no hesitating involved! Milo loves his food, especially his greens! He is not 100% fussed on being handled just yet, though we have been socializing with him daily to help him get used to handling for the likes of health checks and vet visits! Milo is looking for a female companion – we feel he would accept a female over a neutered male as he fought with his last male pig companion. If you feel you could offer Milo a loving spacious home with a female pig companion, please call up to the sanctuary, speak to the staff and fill out an application form!
Red is an active boy, who loves nothing more than a game of fetch, and would make a fabulous hiking companion. He ignores other dogs on walks, however he wouldn’t be suited to living with other pets. Red was originally brought to the sanctuary in June 2018. He will need an experienced owner to help him deal with some behavioural issues.
Meet Bruce! Bruce is a white neutered male bunny looking for a female bunny he can bond with. He is a very nosey bunny that loves to investigate all surroundings! He loves to explore new areas, and can be quite persistent that he is getting out his run door!! He is coming around to the idea of head rubs being nice, but prefers to have his four feet firmly on the ground, only having to be lifted if necessary for the likes of his weekly health check! Bruce LOVES his food, and is always sitting waiting for pellets and cabbage at the appropriate times (so don’t be late!!) Bruce is approximately 1 -2 years old.
Lark and Rumer are two lovely English Spot X’s. Lark is a neutered male, and Rumer is a spayed female. Both buns are approximately 6/7 months old now. Lark is more speckled on his back than Rumer is. They are both vaccinated up to date, and are ready to go to their forever home! A lot of socialization is required for these two, as they are still young, and are not yet 100% used to human interaction. Rumer has been known to give a little nip if she doesn’t like something. They are both able to live inside or outside in appropriately sized accommodation. They love to explore and run about, paying particular attention to new toys which they love to chew. Like any bun we recommend these two get checked every 6 months by a vet, to ensure teeth, eyes, ears etc. are kept on top of. If you feel you could offer Lark and Rumer a loving interactive home, please call up to the sanctuary, speak to the staff and fill out an application form! Re-homing Hours: Tues – Sun 11am – 3pm
One of the ways that Assisi is celebrating Christmas this year is with a Celebration Christmas Tree. If you come along to Assisi you will be able to read a myriad of messages fluttering on our tree and written in celebration of beloved pets past present and even future! You too can be part of our celebration by writing your own message for a £2 donation. Message cards can be found in our shops at Newtownards and Bangor or indeed at our Sanctuary on Old Bangor Road near Conlig. I guarantee once you start reading the heart- warming messages on our tree you won’t be able to stop…..
Our Celebration Tree will be here until January 12th so do please come and support us. All proceeds will help us to care for the 3000 dogs, cats, rabbits and Guinea-pigs that come into our care each year.
